John Horan at the Erie Housing Authority has been kind enough to provide us with a link to Erie Renewable Energy’s application with the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Here’s the report.
You can read it for yourself and make your own determination on what it means.
I’m not an expert on these issues, so I’m hoping we can get some folks with an understanding of the issues to offer their interpretation of what the company is planning to do and what it will mean to the air quality in the neighborhoods surrounding the proposed plant.
Hopefully we this discussion can shed some light and context on this heated topic.
After more than six years working as a journalist in Erie, I'm now the web editor for the Chronicle of Philanthropy in Washington, D.C., and the publisher of GlobalErie.com. I still maintain close ties to Erie - a community that I care about deeply. I hope this Web site can help inspire a better future for Erie.

Peter, I don’t see John Horan or Ray Schreckengost listed with the Housing or Port Authorities. What position do they hold?
Thanks for the work you put into this listing-it really sheds a great deal of light on who’s who in the City of Erie.
