A couple of cool things have come through my e-mail box this week that are worth pointing out.
First, my former colleague at the Erie Times-News, Robb Frederick, is the author of a new book You Haven’t Lived Here If You Haven’t — a collection of his quirky essays about places, people and experiences that are unique to northwestern Pennsylvania.
For those of you who appreciate life in Erie’s little corner of the universe, it promises to be a fun read.
Secondly, if you’re having a hard time figuring out which Democrat or Republican to support during the primaries, take some time to take this quiz.
It includes the answers each of the major candidates provided to 25 questions, and lets users decide which answer they most support.
At the end of the quiz, users can find out which candidate has a platform that most closely lines up with their beliefs.
The Erie connection? It was designed by Erie native and my GlobalErie co-publisher Sarah Sampsel.
Very cool stuff indeed.
I’m always on the lookout for other stuff created by folks with connections to Erie. Feel free to post a comment or send me an e-mail if you know of someone who has something worth pointing out.
After more than six years working as a journalist in Erie, I'm now the web editor for the Chronicle of Philanthropy in Washington, D.C., and the publisher of GlobalErie.com. I still maintain close ties to Erie - a community that I care about deeply. I hope this Web site can help inspire a better future for Erie.
